New gaming router

I need a new router for my house because when I play games on my xbox I lag and theres more than two or three people on the internet at the same time and you cant get good connection at the back of the house and I'm on a budget of about $130 or less.

Is it the router or is it the internet, what is your internet speed (in MBPS, for example mine is 100mbps)?

powerline adapter, dont bother with wifi. plus if multiple people are all using your connecting and maxing it out you will still have similar results which is where you want to implement qos or some sort of rate limit per user to restrict their speed

ok. Using the ookla speed test on my android phone it is 42.64 MBPS download, 4.65 MBPS upload

So your net is not slow, your router is not slow, just someone is taking all your bandwidth.

netflix etc, what router do you currently have, would be best to setup something like a said before rather than one person hogging all the bandwidth

the download and upload speeds of my router on different setting from lowest to highest

is the 300 mbps mode on 2.4 ? if so it is running a 40mhz channel , if you don't have any neighbors etc you should be fine keeping it. those speeds aren't bad you just need a way to limit peoples speed while you are playing online.
