Question New gaming system advice (£1000 budget)

I am in need of a new PC and it will be primarily used for gaming, initially for the new Total war game.

The games recommended requirements are:

• Expected around 45-55 FPS on campaign map and in a 1v1, 21 units vs 21 units battle, default graphics preset set to “High”, running at 1920×1080
• Operating System: Windows 10 64 Bit

• Video Card: GTX 970 | R9 Fury X 4GB VRAM

or AMD MSI Vega 56 LINK £250 (TOTAL £940)

As in my subject I have £1000 budget , so would you recommend any improvements or general changes to the spec?

Good move picking your own graphics card. I would go for the vega 56 out of the 2 graphics cards you listed, however the RTX 2060 is similarly priced and offers much better benchmark scores in total war games.

and instead of 2 4gb ram sticks, go for 2 x 8 ram kit and that would save you from any slowdowns for a couple of years to come and you could push the frames to more than 120 if u want, or even 240 if you change ur settings

You need 2x8GB 3200 Speed
No less than 3000 speed (but normally they are the same price)

580 will max out any 1080p settings really. Don't need more than that
