Obviously that would game well but you could get equally decent performance out of something like this:

Intel Core i5-2500k
8GB Mushkin Silverline 1333Mhz
ASRock Z68 Extreme3 Gen3
Samsung 830 Series 128GB
XFX HD 7970 3GB Black Edition
SeaSonic M12II 520 Bronze 520W
NZXT Phantom
Noctua NH-D14
DVD Burner

That would cost around $1500 total and you wouldn't lose any gaming performance, it would probably be quieter too.

The reason being that the 2011 socket isn't really designed for gaming, you won't see much of a benefit by spending 3x the cash you would spend on the 1155 socket.
