Hello,

Some time ago I got a new replacement battery for my laptop. I have now installed it and while the windows powercfg report shows that the battery is fine, the laptop won't turn on unless plugged. If I remove the plug and try to start it its totally dead. Same happens if I remove the plug while already turned on. It will just shutdown directly.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance

Well it turned out that there was something fishy with this "genuine" battery. I tested the battery with the multimeter and while it was charging and looking healthy in Windows, it wasn't delivering 15V to the laptop. I returned it and purchased a Green Cell Ultra which it even has higher capacity than the original one. The problem was solved.
Thank for your reply,

Its an Asus ROG G751JY. The battery was purschased from Ebay. I unfortunately dont have another laptop of the same type in order to try but using my old, dead battery shows exactly the same behaviour.
