New gigabyte radeon r7 370 graphics card not detected

Solution

My hunch (and it's only a hunch) is that the older board with its legacy BIOS is not compatible with the newer UEFI BIOS of that card. I base this on the fact that I have that same video card. I can't get it to run in my Intel DP45SG board from about that same era. Yet the card runs fine in every other board I have tried it in. AND, every other UEFI-BIOS card I have runs fine in the Intel board. It is just that one GIgabyte R7-370 and the Intel DP45SG that won't play nice together.

I bought a new motherboard... So I'll get back to you soon to let you know how that goes...

What converter are you using? HDMI carries no analog signals, only digital. You would need a dedicated digital-to-analog converter (DAC).
