I need to upgrade my GTX 650 1 GB to a newer mid range GPU. I mainly play like civ and city builders, so I'm not looking for high end cards.
I built this PC in 2013:
MSI B85M-E45
i5-4440
8 GB DDR3 1600
GTX 650
Corsair Carbide 200R
Cooler Master Silent Pro Gold 450W PSU
Corsair SSD Force Series + WD Desktop Blue
I want something that runs games like civ6 better, and also will play HD video smoother on my second screen.
My plan is to get a used card from ebay. My plan was to make a lot of low bids for:
GTX 970/1060
Radeon 480/570/580
I am unsure if I also should consider GTX 960/1050Ti.
Would all of these GPU's fit my rig? Any GPU brands to stay away from? Would the weaker cards above do the job maybe? Any input appreciated!
