Hi,

I recently had a system assembled with::

Processor : i5 3550 @ 3.3 GHz
Motherboard : ASRock Pro4/MVP
RAM : G.Skill 2x4 GB @ 1600 MHz
HDD : Seagate Barracuda SATA3, 1 TB @ 7200 rpm
Cabinet : Corsair Carbide 300R
PSU : Corsair 600 watts PSU

Now, I am on for buying a GPU.
My budget is less than INR 15000/- and the reference site is www.flipkart.com
(Newegg and others not shipping to my site)

I have listed the following cards from flipkart.com.
Out of it, please suggest a card. (Other suggestions are also welcome, please check availability also)
I am not OCing the GPU or CPU, and I wish to play latest games in almost all maxed out settings in a 23" or 24" LCD.

1. Gigabyte AMD GV-R7850OC-2GD 2 GB GDDR5
http://www.flipkart.com/gigabyte-amd-gv-r7850oc-2gd-2-gb-gddr5-graphics-card/p/itmd9hhs3vgwzvde?pid=GRCD9HHSMYFMGVEP&icmpid=reco_pp_hSame_graphics_card_6_nr

2. Sapphire AMD/ATI HD 7850 HDMI OC Edition (Can afford if the extra budget worth it)
http://www.flipkart.com/sapphire-amd-ati-hd-7850-hdmi-oc-2-gb-gddr5-graphics-card/p/itmdc2rahtkncpzp?pid=GRCDC2QTHGMGEGH6&icmpid=reco_pp_hSame_graphics_card_5_nr

Thanks.

Solution
Ok, those are both 7850s, right?

I'd learn a little about overclocking - it's not hard to take the top card and make it match the specs of the bottom one.

That being said, the size of the monitor doesn't matter at all - only the resolution does. (An 11 inch tablet that's 720p will take the same graphics output of a 40in "HD" TV that's 720p)

I will advice u another thing that change your Processor and Motherboard if u want to overclock or want to get more bang for the bucks...And get another HDD.

Grab a I5-2500K because by overclocking this processor it outperforms I5-3570K.

(Get this only if u want to overclock) Price of I5-2500K is only Rs.500 extra or 10$ extra than the processor you have chosed...
You can get this processor from here - http://www.flipkart.com/intel-core-i5-3570/p/itmdcvv2bbstzq8g?pid=PSRDCVQGVQVGF2FF&ref=6554d91c-36ec-4c7e-90a7-61506c99ecc3

Either get this processor - http://www.flipkart.com/intel-core-i5-3570/p/itmdcvv2bbstzq8g?pid=PSRDCVQGVQVGF2FF&ref=6554d91c-36ec-4c7e-90a7-61506c99ecc3
This processor performs equal to I5-3570K at stock speeds and costs about Rs.1000 or 20$ more than the Processor u have selected.

Grab a Asrock Z77 Extreme 3 Motherboard because it is alot better than the Motherboard you have selected and have more features...And costs about Rs.400 or 8$ more than the Board u have selected...
You will get this board here - http://www.flipkart.com/asrock-z77-extreme-3-motherboard/p/itmdeyyxhfdvy3de?pid=MBDDEYYWBFYM5SKP&ref=129adcdf-b0ad-4aae-8a79-23d602338dcd

Get this HDD - http://www.flipkart.com/intel-core-i5-3570/p/itmdcvv2bbstzq8g?pid=PSRDCVQGVQVGF2FF&ref=6554d91c-36ec-4c7e-90a7-61506c99ecc3
WD(Western Digital) is better than Seagate.

And don't go for a overpriced cabinet Corsair 300R as u don't use lots of expansion slots, devices, Water Cooler, etc..Grab a simpple Cabinet.

Hey, I already built the system!
Now need a GPU and monitor replacement only...!!

So, may I proceed with the Gigabyte one?
Also any suggestions for a monitor less than INR 10000/- ? (Multimonitor setup not needed)

So, I am opting that Gigabyte one.

At the moment, I am using a 17" CRT monitor and wish to change to an LCD.

1. By searching a lot, all I knew was to pick up a full HD monitor, having DVI port preferably with HDMI.
(Anyway I do not need multi monitor setup)
Can I proceed to get a monitor this way?

2. And one more thing is I do not know the connectivity between GPU and monitor.
Will they be compatible all the times?
(I heard monitors use dual link DVI-D port and GPU have DVI-I port)

Please give suggestions.

Sorry, I thought that u r going to build a PC.

Go with the Gigabyte Edition....

And for the monitor I will suggest you these :

If u r on tight budget - Acer - http://www.flipkart.com/acer-21-5-inch-lcd-s220hql-monitor/p/itmde2hcxtyuaxbe?pid=MONDE2H5B2D42ZHB&ref=05db8535-cbba-45bc-bc95-dfbedec9dc1f

If u are not on tight budget this is the best bang for the buck - Dell - http://www.flipkart.com/dell-21-5-inch-led-s2240l-monitor/p/itmdf4zvqauzt2z4?pid=MONDF4ZHPUYJBYPR&ref=05db8535-cbba-45bc-bc95-dfbedec9dc1f

Hi,
The Dell monitor looks great but it has no DVI.
How much will it cost for a HDMI cable?
Will it be fully compatible with the Gigabyte card?

Otherwise, if Acer is good though, I may get that.

A HDMI cable costs about Rs.50 or 1$ as I have bought one.

No there is no con buying a 21.5" monitor instead of 23 because the screen size doesmn't matters...The thing that most matters is the resolution and on this monitor you will get 1920x1080 which is very good.

Hi,
what about this one..?
http://www.flipkart.com/acer-21-5-inch-lcd-s220hql-monitor/p/itmde2hcxtyuaxbe?pid=MONDE2H5B2D42ZHB&ref=5ab55225-ff98-4468-8adb-2097c30b8be9&srno=t_2&otracker=from-search&query=acer%20hql

If it has dual-link dvi ( don't know yet ) I am going for it...
because of budget...
Is it good..?

Thanks.

Ok..
but personally I like Viewsonic because of wallmount support, and other features, obviously good price tag also.
iBall monitor i haven't heard before, can it be trusted..?
Dell, avoiding only due to budget constraints...
If Dell is that much good, i can get.

So, what do you think of Viewsonic 21.5 inch LED - VA2248M...?

U can trust at iBall also because this company is now in spotligt for it's tablet and moile products and u will get 2ms response time in this...Many users reported that this monitor is capable of 3D Vision.

Viewsonic is also very good...it has 5ms response time...It has Anti-Glare (Plus Point).

Overall both are superb......the choice is yours.

You can also get a 23" 3D monitor at Rs.11000 or 200$ if u can strech your budget.

I don't think so...
I think, for 3D support it needs a refresh rate of 120 Hz. But iBall has 30 - 80 kHz (Digital) only...

Anyway, thank you for your suggestion and i may get the Viewsonic...
