Question New GPU compatibility check ?

Hello,

I want to upgrade my PC with a new graphic card but i don't know how to check if the GPU is compatible.
The gpu i'd like to buy is: SOYO AMD RX580 8G Radeon scheda grafica GDDR5 256Bit 8Pin PCIE 3.0x16 HDMI DP * 3

My actual PC specs are:
Power supply - XfX Pro550W
CPU - AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.00 GHz
RAM - 8 GB
Mother board - Asus M5A97 EVO R2.0

Let me know if some more informations are required.

Apologize if it seems a lazy question but really i wouldn't know where to start to check if it's compatible or not and i prefer to be sure before buying it.

Hey there,

Yes the GPU will work on that mobo, and your system in general.

You might look at updating your bios to the latest one. Sometimes dated Bios' can prevent relativity modern cards from starting.
