New GPU for 1080p gaming

Replacing my GPU soon - need recommendations for a card that will do 120fps on ultra at 1080. I currently have an r9 290 which gets me like 80fps on high on most games and I have a 120hz monitor which seems a bit of a waste if I can't reach that in any game.
any help would be much appreciated

Erm I'm in the uk and I'd say somewhere in the £300 region (providing I manage to sell my 290 for a reasonable price )

u shd go for either Nvidia GTX 1060 (6gb) or AMD RX 480 (8gb)...

Nearly as fast as the GTX1070 and better suited to really fast gameplay than a GTX1060/RX480.

you will need to start at a gtx 1070 and go up
