Hello everyone,

let's start with the budget: 100-130$

and let's follow with my setup:
OS: Win 8.1 Pro x64
CPU: Intel i7-920 1366 (1st series i7)
MoBo: Asus P6T Deluxe V2
GPU: Sapphire HD4870 512mb Toxic Vapor
RAM: 12GB Corsair Vengeance 3*4gb 1600mhz
SSD: Samsung 840 ego
HDs: WD red 2tb, and some WD green 2tb
Case: Cooler Master Storm Sniper
PSU: OCZ 700W (don't remember the model)
Monitor: Samsung Syncmaster 2443bwt 1920*1200

The only reason why I want a new GPU is to play Black Flag, I didn't try yet, but I think the old 4870 is not gonna be capable considering the only 512mb of GDDR3.
I usually don't have time to play so I never do, but since I like Assassin's creed and my PS3's bluray drive is long gone a new graphic card might be the less expensive choice.

I want to be able to play decently at 1920x1200 with somewhat an improvement in graphic quality compared to the old PS3. Since I played Assassin's Creed 3 there, a slight improvement in quality would be nice, but I think just playing 1200p is nicer than the 720p the PS3 could handle.

Based on tom's Best Graphics Cards For The Money: September 2014, I should chose the AMD R7 260X.
Since the only game I'm going to play is Black Flag, maybe Nvidia is better there so I'm here to ask to the community.

Thank you for your time,
Hope you have advises for me.

Oops, sorry I missed the part about your budget. But where there's a number, there's a solution! Not my first choice for this game, but better than a 260X or 750Ti

R7-265 2GB

If that video holds any water, than you should see a marginal improvement over that...

Yikes, no no. Your Processor should be fine, overclocked. This is a very graphically intensive game. Neither the 4870 or the R7-260X will handle this game very well at that resolution.

Do you have a budget? Either way I'd suggest going with an R9-290 or a GTX 970

Black flag is rather Graphics intensive or unoptimized game, either of which requires a powerful GPU.

I run Black flag using HD7970 and the experience is decent but not great. I play now using GTX 970 and the experience is great.

Additionally, I play in 1080p.

Which means that if you wanted to get a great experience you should get an expensive GPU.

I also have to tweak the settings to get smooth gameplay in my HD7970.

He's playing at a lesser resolution than you will be, and seems to be getting sub par frame rates at moments. You might be able to play as per your personal requirements, but I doubt very well. It's all about personal preference however. I just never like to dip below 50FPS otherwise, to me, it feels "off."

Also, the 260X won't handle AC 5, if you plan to play that as well. The 970 & 290 will.

As I mentioned earlier my budget is 100-130$, so the graphics card you are talking about are way off budget.
About the resolutions, he's playing at 1080p, so if those 20px are a problem I can set 1080p and live with two 10px bars on the screen.
The human eye can't usually catch more than 24fps, but I know the overall experience feel smother at 50fps. That being said, I'm more than happy with an average of 30fps considering the footage on the video looks great to me.

You could sell your old graphics card on eBay, factor in around 30 usd for its sale, might just turn your potential 265 in to a 270, ideally sell your old card after buying the new one
