Question New GPU for my old rig

I've tried two GPU's in my current system, everwhere I look, I get a green light for compatability BUT after 24 hours uptime the cards failed, the system crashed/reset then I get no signal from the HDMI and have to use the MoBo port for display. I could hear the system start sound but I got a blank screen. The card is an ASUS Rx570, the games ran super smooth with no stuttering so It's hard to imagine anything else in my sytem causing trouble. So then I figured that perhaps my AMD FX4100 CPU can't handle the 4gb memory of the GPU? I dunno, I'm no expert but here I am asking for help with choosing the best GPU for my system cause I have no idea what makes the best GPU for specific systems. My current PSU was recommended by a member here also, I can't imagine that being the problem.

Win7 64x
MoBo: ASUS M5A 78L-M usb3
CPU: AMD FX4100 (quad core 3.6ghz)
Old GPU: Radeon 6700 (This rig is several years old)
PSU: EVGA 500w BR
8gb RAM corsiar DDR3

The only games I'm interested in running is DayZ and TotalWar: Warhammer 2 (with consideration to Warhammer3 when released). I'm happy to play games in the 40 FPS range with medium Qaulity settings, HIGH would be a luxury. Resolution at 1920x1080 is a good rez for my 32" LG HD TV and games in general. My budget is around £130 but obviously, cheaper the better. The rx460/480 2gb seemed like a good start for me at £50 but I have no idea if the card would pop like my last two rx570's.

Retail preference is https://www.scan.co.uk/ but they mostly sell expensive high end cards, I got the Rx570 on special offer which is why I rushed so hard to buyand install before checking all me specs in detail xD I need a retailer with a good returns policy but if you're confident in your choice of GPU, Amazon or Ebay will be fine I guess.

My old GPU has been a real trooper, my entire system has been running well for years which is why I've put off upgrading until now. The Graphical fidelity of DayZ has come a long way and Total WAR is very demanding. I dust my system on the regular and everything is up to date. Thanks for any input, your time is appreciated.

(As a last note, stability is very important for DayZ, I cannot afford to have stuttering or random drops in FPS)

Can I get a GPU recommendation for my rig please :??: I don't want the same thing to happen. It's kinda hard to trust this rx460 tbh, either the price is too good to be true or it'll just die like the rx570.

As for my bios being up to date, this is what you meant right? Yes it is.

An RX570 should have been fine in your system. Were they all new? Only thing you can try is to get a better quality power supply, The BR models are the lower quality ones from EVGA, B3 should be better.

Well, I think this is another thing I can try. The rx570 (graph) power draw is insane compared to the rx550 (graph) . I think using a stable GPU will remedy my problem. I had a feeling that the rx570 drew too much power and as a result was too unstable unless I had a very strong PSU to handle the Rx570
