So I have the following setup:
i7-2600
16gb 1600 ram
evga 680 2gb
antec 1000w PSU
Asus p8p67 deluxe mobo
vizio 1080p 50" LED

I like to game, a lot! I am in school full time and don't get to do it near enough, so when I do I want to really enjoy it! I am debating on whether or not to get a new GPU, because my concern is a single 680 2gb is not enough, even if I SLI I am still only at 2gb of vram. I like playing on very high or ultra and can do that on most games. But I was considering getting a tv with active 3D. I believe there is a significant loss in performance with 3D but I could be wrong. I would get active (not passive), but is 3D worth it? I would love to play battlefield 4 with full 120fps at 3D. I can return my 50" vizio, I got it for $560 new. So should my 2gb 680 be able to handle b4 ultra with 120fps 3D?

I just moved to the houston texas area so microcenter/frys electronics are options etc. I dont prefer any website over another, such as newegg, tiger direct, amazon etc... Just no shady websites!

I would love to get the best bang for my buck, but I prefer NVIDIA. No I'm not a fan boy, just read the toms catalyst 13.8 or whatever review. Also Nvidia has never burnt me yet so...

I really appreciate all of the feedback, gotta love toms community.

I like the larger size and cannot afford a 4k. I use this TV for gaming movies and entertainment etc. Will a 2gb 680 be enough for BF4 and next gen on ultra? What about active 3D and ultra? Should I stick with my 680 until the 800 series? I really hope the next gen AMD cards bring the heat on to nvidia. I mean 700+ for a 780? I can get an xbox one or PS4 for 500/400! And those will game for the next 5 years. But I love PC gaming!
