So the other day I bought a ASUS Strix GeForce GTX 970 4gb and replaced it with my Radeon 6950 1gb, I have uninstalled all of the AMD and ATI drivers and installed all of the Nvidia Drivers, but when I go to play a game like GTA V im hardly even getting 30 fps and I feel like its not working properly, Someone please help me, also im using DVI not HDMI, I have tried HDMI but its still the same, All of these parts are pretty much brand new.

System Specs:

CPU: Intel i7 4790k
GPU: GTX 970 4gb
Ram: 8gb
Motherboard: ASUS maximus VII Ranger
PSU: EVGA 850w gold
HDD: 2TB HDD, and 256gb SSD

Check your temps and if you can download GPU-Z, once downloaded make sure its registering your Video card, and the current specs are what they say they are, then check to see if it is utilizing the PCI slot properly, as sometimes is may not and use only have resulting in terrible performance.

Also what is the GPU under load temps look like, What is it not under load, Use the render test with gpu-z to check the PCI slot compatibility to insure its running at x16 2.0 or higher.

I see, well when you uninstall drivers from your system, not all of the information is uninstalled.
Some times you can still have references to the old driver, or drivers left behind in the windows registry.

So go here.

Download and install driver sweeper.
Select remove Ati drivers.

Restart the system and see how it performs then in GTA-V by using driver sweeper.
