Hi all,
Today my new 2070 super arrived to replace my 1070 (no issues just had a bit of spare cash)
I have installed the new card but when I try to play a game my computers appears to power down and restart and I find myself back at the windows login page.
This happens after a minute or two playing red dead 2 or when I alt tab out
On Ark as soon as the map loads it happens
On modern warfare when i alt tab out it happens
I'm running
Windows 10 64
i7 4790
2070 super (replacing 1070)
Gigabyte Z79M-DS34 motherboard
16GB 1866mhz DDR3 RAM
Corsair VS 650 psu
So far I have removed and refitted the new card
Refitted the old card which again worked fine
Uninstalled geforce drivers and did a clean custom install
My old 1070 required only a 6 pin PCI-E, my new 2070 super requires an 8-pin and a 6 pin PCI-E, therefore on the 8 pin I used a 6 pin and a 2 pin, is this OK?
Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
