New GPU no POST

Today I added my first GPU to my PC(AMD Radeon HD 7870) I tried hooking everything up and by everything I mean card clicked into motherboard and plugged in the two PCI E wires to card and other end into power supply. When I turn on PC all I get is a black screen. If I remove card everything starts up fine. Anyone know what my issue is. My motherboard is the GA-B75M-D3H and my graphics card is plugged into the PCIEx16 slot. My powersupply is the ATX-CB500W APEVIA 500W Power Supply. Could any of these be the issue?

You may need to bottup up withthe integrated, enter the bios and disable the integrated first. Then save, shutdown, unplug ac cord, install the GPU ... and see if she is detected now.
