New GPU, Not Running Right? (ArmaA 3)

Hey all,

Just got a new MSI 1060 Gaming X the other day and I love it, destroys my 760 in all the benchmarks, 45 fps vs 108 fps on average.

I decided to test it on ArmA and it almost seemed running worse than before, I turned on screen display with Afterburner and noticed my CPU % is around %50, 1060 at %30? Fans aren't even turned on because it is running so cool, I was getting no more than 20ish fps on medium-high settings with drops and freezes every few seconds.

Its almost like the game isn't using it at all, is this possible? When playing Conan Exiles it bottlenecks my CPU, 1060 runs around %70.

Arma is a bitch of a game to run, being horribly optimized and all that. adding new and recently released hardware to such a game will result in some performance inconsistency compared to other games. you may want to check out this link and try some of the tweaks there:

Like the other poster Arma is not the best game in the world to test what frame rates you can get at what detail settings and screen resolution, It`s about one of the worst poorly coded games for optimizations running on any Gpu you can play.

Mind you Can it run farcry 3 ?

Performance will be similar when playing games that mainly try to use CPU power and barely use the graphics card. ARMA is one of those examples, It's pretty poorly coded aswell I think.

Thank you all, I have been trying to find some fixes reading around, will try a few today. If they work I will post back, didnt know it was this badly optimized... haha
