Hey guys. Just sold my R9 290 4gb card, and am currently running with onboard GPU on the i5-4690k.

I am looking at either the GTX 950 or GTX 960.

Which one would you pick, and why?

Cheapest GTX 950 is 150 $ +-
Cheapest GTX 960 is 180 $ +-

As I can see, the GTX 950 and GTX 960 can be overclocked insanely. How much more power will they draw overclocked?
Since power usage was the main reason to selling the 290 card.

I've got the r9 380 4gb and it's amazing. 960 would also be a good option and consumes a lot less power and gets a lot less hot. If you were able to save up, the 970 is one of the best bang for the buck cards on the market right now, so if you were able to, I would suggest that. If not, the 960 is pretty good.

I like the 970, but not gonna spend that much money right now. Just need a decent GPU with low power draw untill AMD and Nvidia releases new GPU line. Heard Q2-Q3 for Nvidia?

I know it's weaker. 😛 I had water on the 290, but was still noisy and hot'ish.

Anyway, I just remembered something with Gigabyte, with their "Upgrade" thingy. Anyone know of this?
Something with you buy a Gigabyte card, and you decide there isn't enough power in it, so you can upgrade it.
