[SOLVED] new gpu or dont upgrade ?

hi my current setup is :-

cpu: i7 8700k @ 4.7ghz
motherboard: Msi Z370 gaming pro carbon
ram: 32gb ddr 3000mhz ram
psu: Evga 850watt psu
gpu: msi 5700xt ot mech
montior/display: samsung 55" Q60r 4k smart tv (which i run at 2560 x 1440p @ 120hz)

my question is my gpu still okay for a couple of years or do i need to wait for the new navi cards to upgrade. also should i get a 2560 x 1440p freesync 2 27" monitor instead of my tv which also has freesync,

any help would be gratefully recieved.

Trying to future-proof will always be a guess (educated or otherwise).
However, staring into my crystal ball, I see you wanting to play at 4K resolution in the future. You may need a more powerful GPU, with AAA titles, at ultra settings, in 4K.

...at least that's what my crystal ball says. 😉

okay new navi cards im thinking to upgrade as i have a freesync display. do you think amd navi will be the same as say 3080 and maybe £100 cheaper than a 3080. this is a complete quess by the way
