New GPU possibly broken ?

Hey,

I just got a new GTX 1080 today, installed it fine, plugged in the DVI D cable and screwed that in and someone in my home comes along and bends the DVI D cable down while it is plugged into the GPU.

Now I am unable to get more than 60HZ on my 144 HZ monitor.

Has this possibly broken my new 1080 ?

Thanks

It is the same cable I used before for 144HZ with my other GPU; I'm mainly worried that the act of bending the DVI D cable while it was securely plugged into the GPU has somehow damaged the card or the x16 slot on my motherboard.

DVI cables are fragile and so is the most likely to be broken. If the slot was broken, nothing would work. If the video card was damaged likely nothing would work.

Okay; it was tightly screwed into the GPU when it was bent which is why I was concerned about the GPU itself, I have ran some tests on the GPU and it seems to work fine; I have ordered a DP1.2 cable to use with my monitor. Thanks
