hello,

so I just bought a new DELL S2719DGF monitor (upgrading from classic 27" FHD 60Hz IPS).
Last year I bought a new pc: i5-8600K, 16GB 3000MHz, GTX 1060 6GB Strix OC.
And since this monitor is QHD with 144Hz (155Hz OC) and unofficially supports G-sync I will probably have to replace my new GTX 10606GB to keep up with the frames.
What to go for? RTX 2060? Or do I need RTX 2070?
I mostly play overwatch, witcher 3, coh.

Thanks!

Solution
I would go at least a 2070. My 1070 is good but depending on the game I have to dial down a LOT of settings to get around 100fps. So, would pass on a 2060. If you can really stretch the budget would try for a 2080.

any other opinions please?
Should RTX 2060 suffice or should I aim for RTX 2070? It's quite a bit more expensive and offers "only" around 20% improvement?

tnx

I have a 1060 6gb with QHD 144HZ and GSync too, I think you should get a 2070, 2080 or not even bother, GSync make 40fps look fine at 1440. You don't sound that keen on upgrading and given your cards only a year old why would you be right. Just don't monitor your FPS constantly and it's ok.

I'm casual af so take it with a grain of salt, but rtx 3000 series or AMD 7NM should be better than this 2000 series crap
