New GPU Time

I would like some advice on a new GPU
GTX 670 £180
GTX 680 £240
GTX 770 £320 - silly money
HD7970 £270
for most new games BF3/4 COH 2 Crysis 3 Arma 3
would like a stable no worries soulution @1080p60fps
the 670 seems best deal as budget is an issue but if there's big gains to be had i can come round.

If you can get the 680 for that price, get that one. That 7970 should be cheaper though

The 7970 has comparable performance with the 770. Also, if the 7970 is only marginally more expensive than the 680, then it makes the most sense to get the 7970.

Well since the 680 has similair performance to the 770, it would be best to get the cheaper one, in this case the 7970

GTX 760 is about the same as GTX 670 but 670 is cheaper. 7970 at £270 to expensive had AMD fro 6+ yrs fancy a change. I fancy the 680 but its old now allthough still seems solid and the 670 isnt far behind and £60 cheaper. I am a bit concerned about Nvidia performance on COH 2 though

Ye if you can 150$ to buy a 7970 for 270 is a very good price. Go for it.
Otherwise i will recommend you the GTX760

Of those listed the GTX670 is the best overall value, don't worry about it being 'old', age is not a concern just performance, and this old warhorse has been around for some time, a testament to its value surely?
The GTX680 was always overpriced.
As an alternative to the 7970: http://www.aria.co.uk/SuperSpecials/Other+products/VTX3D+X-Edition+Radeon+HD+7950+OC+3072MB+GDDR5+PCI-Express+Graphics+Card+?productId=57270 give it a little overclock and you're within spitting distance of the far more expensive 7970.
Also check the previously mentioned GTX760, its slightly faster than the 7950 at stock speeds although the7950 usually overclocks like a mad thing and still has that potentially tasty games bundle.
