New GPU to an old system - Worth/can it?

Hi folks.

So I have an older build, which I am considering to upgrade a bit.
Specifically, I want to install an Asus GTX 1060 6gb strix in my computer, but I am not sure if it will be compatible with the motherboard or if my setup will bottleneck the GPU.

Current build:
Gigabyte Z68XP-UDP3
Intel i5 2500k - OC to 4.0 ghz on all cores
8 gb RAM 1600 Hz
2x SLI gtx 650ti boost
750W Gold PSU

The idea is to let the computer run for 1 more year before a full system switch. As far as I can tell, my motherboard supports PCI Express x16 with 3.0 interface (http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=3978#sp) which is what the GPU uses, correct?

Q2: Do you think my system will bottleneck the gpu?
Q3: Do you think the upgrade it woth it? To let it run for a year more? I mean, no reason to upgrade if the CPU/RAM cant keep up, anyway.
Q4: Anything else I should consider? :S

Thanks in advance!

Solution
It is worth it. And although from strict time perfpective your system is "old", in reality it is far from it. Especially after the upgrade.

A1: correct, your mobo uses PCI-E x16 version 3.0. But any PCI-E card specified as 3.0 can also work on 2.0 boards - they are backwards compatible.
A2: no way. Especially if overclocked. This CPU can even be used with 1070 and 1080 if overclocked.
A3: It is.
A4: No. Your PSU will actually be stressed LESS than with 2x650Tis.

Yes, i would upgrade the GPU to a non-sli one and when you replace the system reuse that GPU.
The CPU is good enought to support a nice GPU with very few bottleneck even on the most CPU intensive games.

Probably i would choice a Gtx1060-1070 depending on budget.
