Question New GPU

Hi guys,

i have Gtx 1060, i5 8400, 16 GB ram .

I want to buy new GPU. Which one should i choose?

rtx 2060 ( 310 eur in my country)
RX 5700 (350 eur)
RTX 2060 super (425 eur)

Im playing on 1080p 144 hz.

Im worried about bottlenecking from my CPU. Handle my CPU RX 5700 or RTX 2060 super? Or its only waste of money and i should buy only RTX 2060? Buying new CPU is no option. Thank you for your advice.

Any bottleneck will depend on the specific game. Some cpu heavy games do push i5’s very hard when aiming for 100+ FPS. A quick test would be dropping your resolution to 720p and seeing what your FPS goes up to in your games?

While doing this test see what the cpu usage is on each core. Hopefully at 720p the cpu will be the limiting factor before your 1060. This will approximate the best FPS you can get out of your cpu. The cpu determines the best FPS you can achieve, the gpu determines at what resolution and game settings you can achieve that FPS at.
