New graphic card 1080

I had Asus graphic card 2gb ram 1050.Bought new graphic card ..sometimes PC is slow occasionally while gaming. Kindly let me know whether I really need to upgrade my PC.
CPU i5 6500 3.2ghz
8gb ram
Nvidia gtx 1080
Mother board Asus h110m H

Really depends on the specific title, in-game settings & resolution.

At 1080p, I'd expect the 6500 to be holding the 1080 back in quite a few titles, but it really depends.

By slow i guess you mean less than 60fps? I dont think i5 6500 is not capable of doing 60fps in every game on 1080p? What games do you play?
