new graphic card with this system and bottleneck issues

sorry for my bad english. i build a pc late 2008
asus p5q pro
core2quad q9550 3.4ghz
8gb kingston ddr2 800mhz
sapphire amd hd6850 1gb gddr5 256bit. (it's 2 year old)

well, this pc is great for me i love it. But now i have a 120hz full hd monitor and i want to change graphic card too because it's not enough to handle high resolutions on games like bf3, crysis 3 etc.

my board is ddr2 and i can't use i3, i5 chipsets either.
What about a new graph card? a powerfull card with this build is it works good ? if yes; which card u prefer ?

i need to buy new build and it will be very expensive 🙁

The Q9550 is going to start limiting you very soon here and you should probably consider a full system upgrade. Multiplayer games are most effected by the CPU but you will see an increase in performance on a lot of single player games and more GPU dependent games with a HD 7850.

i can upgrade next year full system by that time i can buy a high-end graphcard now. it will be for next computer but can i use with this build ?

I would recommend either the HD 7850, the HD 7790 or the GTX 650ti Boost. The HD 7790 is around $130 and the other two are around $150-$160. All of them are an improvement on your current card.

Oh i misinterpreted your question. With a $250 budget for the next few years I would recommend a HD 7950. That GTX 670 would perform about the same as the HD 7950 so if you can get it cheap from your friend I'd go with that. Make sure your power supply can handle it though. I would have a 550 watt power supply bare minimum.

yeah i've 500watt psu but it's not big issue, psu's not too expensive. all i worried about bottleneck. if this system can handle a gtx670 i can use a few years more. thank you for help!
