Hi guys!
I just built my first pc and I got every thing up and running with my onboard video... but now I want to install the graphics card I bought. When I plug in the card to the motherboard the display gives me a "no signal" message, but it works wiht onboard video. My system is as follows
asus m5a78l-m lx plus
8 gigs 1 stick of ram
amd 8320 8 core 3.5
Rosewill 450 psu

The new card is a nvidia gtx 970 gigabyte mini itx.
any sugestions?

This might be silly but make sure that you plugged your monitor on your gtx 970 gigabyte , not the Onboard graphics card.
Make sure that the gpu is not dead.
Test it on other computer if it works, try another psu?

Step 1: Go to your bios.
Step 2: Use the arrow keys to select "Advanced," "Advanced BIOS Features" or a similar option from the menu. Press "Enter."
Step 3: Select "North Bridge Configuration," "Video Configuration," "Internal Graphics" or similar option from the sub-menu, if available. Press "Enter."
Step 4: Look for and highlight an option such as "Primary Video Controller," "Primary Video Adapter" or "Initiate Graphic Adapter." Press "Enter."
Step 5: Change it from IGP-PCI-PCIE to PCIE-PCI-IGP

Do I install my graphics card before or after I do these steps
