New graphics card, can't download drivers.

Second time this has happened to me, last time Nvidia support told me the GPU was defective so I had them send a new and it's happened again.
Whenever I try to install the drivers the installation fails and the graphics card dissapears from the device manager.
All people say that I should do is to reseat it into another PCI slot, which I can't do since I only have one slot.
What do I do? Graphics card is a GTX 1060 6GB

which motherboard you have?
and what does it shows in device manager under display adapter?

hmm the board is campatable and if there is no error msg in device manager then i suggest you to update the bios of your motherboard if there is any
if still not fixed the do a clean install of widows and make sure dislay port(HDMI/VGA) of your monitor should be attached in the back of GPU not the motherboard
