When i put a heavy load on my gpu, it makes a loud hissing type sound, then the colors on the screen go crazy, then the kernal nvidia drivers crash. Some times the screen just crashes and pops back up and crashing right again, others, the first time it does it, it just stays frozen. Any help would be nice. Its a GTX660 and my PSU is a Antec 430watt, Which i believe is the problem, its very old.

Solution
If the hissing sound is from the 660 then RMA it as it sounds like defective caps, same goes for the PSU but in that case stop using it as a PSU failure can cause other issues.

Ran fine at first. Benchmark on Unigine heaven and valley both averaged 45fps on high settings then it started acting up, Considering i only spent 250$ including graphics card on the hole system i say its a win. Nothing special, but it works fine.

That wouldn't cause an issue, I'm running a 560Ti in an even older mobo that I've also tried a 660Ti and a 7790 in.
