New graphics card flashing black

Hey guys new user here. I've brought a new graphics card, the nvidia 660 (gigabyte version) a couple of days ago and install it and updated it. But everytime I play a game like Sims 3 it goes to a black screen for a couple of seconds then goes back. This could happen after 30 seconds or 5 minutes of playing. The rest of the system is
-motherboard is a gigabyte 78lmt-usb
-16GB mushkin ram
-power supply is 500w

Any help with the really really appricated, thank you guys. Let me know if you need more information.

Did you try contacting EVGA warranty service? My friend had a problem with his 770 that was similar to that and contacted EVGA warranty service and the gave him a new one. Hoped this helped ( :
