Hello i have an oldish PC sitting around doing nothing because the graphics card went on it, and have now only just decided to fix it up again. Im not quite sure what to get though, because i'm relatively new to this and don't want to get an overpriced one for the hardware it has. Anyone have any advice?

CPU: 2.40 GHz AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core
Board: NEC COMPUTERS INTERNATIONAL GA-K8N Ultra-SLI
2048 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory
(DID Have a geforce 9500gt)

Looking for something quite cheap.
Thanks :)

Hi, before anything i would highly advise you to also increase the memory for at least 2 more GB, that being said here are some nice options for the gpu:
ATI:
HD 7750: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202002
HD 7770 : http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102993
Nvidia:
gtx 650: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814121661
gtx 650ti: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130840

hope this helps you, and also make sure you have the power requariments n.n

That mobo use DDR and they are expensive.

I wouldn't bother with it and sell it for spare part.

"I'm actually selling the pc" LOL....that's different!! :)

Depending on who you are selling it to (that's the important bit), get the cheapest and maximise your profit.

Okay thanks people, ive got a general idea now. The person who is buying it off of me i know in person and is only giving me peanuts for it, but he is a light gamer and these ideas are for him.
