New graphics card issue

Hi, I posted in here previously about my graphics card problem (which I would link were I not on mobile) and I'm still having the same issue despite having upgraded my PSU like everyone suggested. (To a 600w corsair) The new graphics card I would like to work is the Geforce GTX 750i.
The problem is that when I boot up my PC, it shows the manufacturer's name for a good long minute (with the motherboard beeping once every 20 seconds three times) before going to a black screen with a white underscore in the top left of the screen.
I took it to a specialist as well, and he said the fault most likely lies with the graphics card itself, since everything else works fine and both his card and my old one ran no problem and got to the windows boot stage. I got that replaced as well, but I'm still getting the same issue - manufacturers name for a minute, then black and a white underscore.
I've also removed all previous drivers, gone into BIOS and disabled integrated drivers & run a driver sweeper.

I'm honestly lost here. I can't find any similar problems or find what 3 long beeps mean exactly (apart from keyboard errors, but that wouldn't stop it from booting up entirely.) Everything else in my computer is working 100% - there's nothing wrong with the wires or motherboard as far as I can tell. It just seems to be this one silly graphics card.
Is anyone able to help?

Edit: forgot to mention I have an AMI motherboard, no 3 long beeps listed as anything as far as I can tell.

Update: tried a CMOS reset, and nothing happened. Is it an issue with a motherboard? I will state again that it run with NO issue with other graphics cards. It's just this one that it might have an issue with. Any fixes?

Try safe mode (F8) into bios and a repair or system restore.

3 beeps in AMI bios is Base memory read/write test error per http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Power-on_self-test

Download and run Memtest 86 to see if your ram is OK.

It won't let me. Whenever I press F8, it just starts beeping.

Done a cmos reset? Power off. wait 10 mins. remove the motherboard battery. wait 10 mins. replace the motherboard battery. start up again.

If vou can't get into bios you need to replace your motherboard.

Didn't word that very well, I mean I couldn't find anything about 3 long beeps with AMI motherboards.
And I can't access safe mode or anything with my new graphics card, so should I put my old one back in and download it then? ram seems fine with the old one in, but can that effect whether it can support the new card? Thanks for the fast reply, too.

I can get into BIOS, just not with this graphics card in. I can with my old card, however. And I'm no computer expert, sadly, I don't trust myself to be able to remove the motherboard battery.
And I haven't done a CMOS reset, no.

Yes, everything works as normally. No crashing or anything like that. So I'm starting to think it's compatability issues with my motherboard and the new card. Will a CMOS reset fix this? (and what exactly is a cmos reset?)

Update: did a CMOS reset but nothing has changed. It still stays on the manufacturer's name for a minute, beeps 3 times with 20 second intervals then goes to black with a white underscore.

When I did the CMOS reset? The new one, GTX 750ti.

It sounds like the 750ti is causing problems. Sure your card isn't IBM bios? Then 3 beeps is VGA card problem.

Try your 750ti in another pc.

Try a different card again in your pc.

I don't have another PC to try it in, unfortunately. And my old GT 545 works fine in it, no issues at all, it runs just as normal. It's only when I put in the GTX 750ti that it cant boot to windows. For now, I'm keeping the GT 545 in and using it like that, until I find anything else I can try to get the 750 to work.

Also, I don't know what you mean by IBM bios, I'm a bit of a beginner when it comes to this. And if it is a BGA card problem, do you know a way to fix it? Or is it better if I just get a different card?

Also: I don't think it's the card itself. This is the second one I've purchased. I had the same issue with the first one, and returned it and got a replacement. However, nothing have changed with the new one.

Even though you said your board was AMI, I think it might be IBM.

Aah, my motherboard has a label on it that says AMI-aptio 9v90 6575. The rest is mostly numbers from what I remember, but I'll open it up to have a thorough look at everything.
It would make more sense for it to be IBM, though.

Lenovo. I'd much rather just find a graphics card compatible with my current motherboard. I know it's not ideal, but I don't want to spend all this on replacing all my parts/buying a whole new one.

I can't really afford to replace the motherboard & the graphics card, unfortunately. It's not ideal, but for now, I'm just trying to find a decent graphics card that my PC can handle so it's not quite so far behind. It's just a shame that the GTX 750ti doesn't work.
Do you have any graphics card recommendations, or will it pretty much be trial and error with a motherboard like mine?

i recently read that manufacturers 'lock' the pci slots in the bios or soemthing for warranty concerns. so a person cant remove the card that came with the computer and replace it. i believe they somehow link it with the motherboard.

It says PCIE 16x (1.6x?) next to the slot on the motherboard.

That IS a shame. Looks like I might have to invest in a new PC rather than new parts... Wish I'd know all this before back before I bought this one haha!
