New Graphics Card Issues Please Help

I have been having this problem for the past couple of days were i would leave my computer on for a little then come back to it and then i cant play any games , then i go to my geforce experience and it shows that were my graphics card was it just says unknown like it doesnt detect my graphics card i have a zotac 980 ti amp extreme. then i will turn my computer off then back on again, and i go to the geforce experience and then i says that the 980 ti is detected but that i cant use some of the geforce features like game optimization or shadow play please help. Also my Specs are
CPU i7 6700k
GPU 980ti
Mobo asus z170-pro
Ram EVGA 16GB 3200
PSU rosewill hive 750 series

use DDU, completely clean out the drivers

then go to the nvidia website and install the newest drivers

i did do that and it didnt work but i will try again

and when i did it it did work for a short amount of time but then it when to saying the card is unknown

are all the pcie power plugs populated on the card?

what do you mean populated like plugged into the right one if so then yes

yeah it has 2 8 pins and both are plugged in
 
make sure the gpu on the top video slot and it locked in.
170-PRO BIOS 1801
Improve system stability
make sure the mb has the newest bios file.
in windows power management make sure pci bus sleep is off.
if the pci bus goes to sleep the gpu may not be seen.

everything is up to date and in the right slot but i dont see were pci bus sleep is im on windows 10 if that helps
