[SOLVED] New graphics card (msi gtx 1050 8gb) now no mic

I changed out my graphics card yesterday and now no matter what I use my mic won't pick my voice up my mic shows it's connected but doesn't register my voice. mic (razer kitty headset) works fine on my bfs pc but not mine. We made sure to set it as default and that the volume is correct and still nothing.

reinstall the latest motherboard audio driver package.
a lot of Realtek devices especially seem to easily acquire driver conflicts and other issues.

if you can,
post an image of the Control Panel > Sound "Recording" tab.
