hey all, i just upgraded to a 980 from a 760, my computer doesn't seem to detect my new card at all regardless of what slot i put it in or which drivers i enable/disable. t

The only indication i have that the card is being detected is that in the intel graphics command centre it says i have 4gb of video memory instead of the 2 which the old card had.

I've done a fresh install using ddu to remove any old drivers, i've updated bios, i've tried changing defaults in bios. the card doesn't show up in bios or device manager but it does power on.

If anybody has any ideas i'd be really grateful, pretty sure it's not my existing hardware as i meet power requirements and the old card works fine.

My specs are:
CPU: Intel Core i7 6700K Processor
Motherboard: asus z170 delux
Ram: Corsair CMK16GX4M2B3000C15 Vengeance LPX 16 GB (2 x 8 GB)
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 980 SC GAMING ACX 2.0
PSU: Corsair CP-9020048-UK Builder Series CX600 ATX/EPS 80 PLUS Bronze Power Supply Unit, 600 W
OS: windows 10 64
