Question New graphics card, OLD monitors - which adapter?

Hi folks, I've just had a PC built for me. Inside is an AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT 50th Anniversary Edition 8GB GDDR6 Navi PCI-Express Graphics Card.

On the back of this are two HDMI ports and two DPs (Display Ports).

The issue I have is that my monitors are rather old, and I can't afford to replace them just now.

Each one has a DVI socket and a VGA socket - the old blue and white ones!

So my question is this: which adapters should I buy? They'll need to go from HDMI or DP into DVI or VGA (x 2 - I have two monitors).

I assume DVI would be the better sockets to use on the monitors - but have no idea about the ports on the graphics card.

If anyone could help, I'd be really grateful.

PS My monitors are both Packard Bell Viseo 230Ws.

Hi, thanks so much for the reply, but most of that is like a foreign language to me! Could you tell me which lead I need please? Thanks!

Can get these passive cables.

Displayport to Dvi (max 1080p 60Hz)
Hdmi to Dvi (max 1080p 60Hz)

Vga requires conversion from digital to analog. There are cables of this type, they are called active adapters, as in powered by some source like usb, but don't think you need this. Ie; active Hdmi to Vga or active Displayport to Vga. Dvi on your two monitors should be either digital or digital + analog. There are analog only Dvi ports such as Dvi-A. In monitor menu does it mention digital as input? I suspect so, so passive DP or Hdmi to Dvi would work. Passive means no power to convert so a straight cable with appropriate ends.

If/when you get DP to Dvi cable make sure it says DP 'to' Dvi. This cable isn't bi-directional and must specify what it converts to. Hdmi to Dvi is bi-directional so either end can be computer side or monitor side.

I prefer this guide from the same author mentioned by rgd1101. Might be easier for you to read more. Just put in the output/ input fields and you'll get a description.
