I own a 6 year old Advent DT1411 with specs:
Afternoon all,

My build is:

Processor Intel i5-2320
Motherboard Foxconn, H61MXL/H61MXL-K
8GB RAM
AMD Radeon 6670 2GB graphics
405watt power supply

I recently purchased the R9 380 replacing the 6670. Minimum power reqs are 500w so purchased EVGA 600w 80 plus. However, GPU still not booting (while switching on - fans and lights)

Is the system compatible? If not - what are issues? Not sure if motherboard issues, PSU or drivers.

Thanks!

Hi there and thanks for the quick response!

Yes the card is brand new, and yes I have connected it to power (2X 6 pin)

Haven't tested motherboard integrated graphics but the old graphics card still works a treat when I swap it back in for the new one

I have just tested : onboard motherboard graphics works only when old graphics card disconnected ; will try with new graphics card plugged in now

I might well have to! Although I am suspecting power issues as my computer (with the new card plugged in) will randomly switch itself off sometimes.

Just completed test and the monitor plugged into onboard motherboard graphics does not start up when I boot PC with new graphics card!
