I just bought a gtx 1060 3gb graphics card, and after installing the card and it's drivers windows (7) would go through the "starting windows" screen without a problem, and then just lose all signal when booting.
I removed the graphics card to see it work perfectly and removed the graphics drivers with DDU. With the graphics card in again but WITHOUT drivers it booted just fine. After trying different things i realised that if i installed the drivers and set primary graphics adapter to onboard, the computer would go through bios and the booting phase on my onboard, and then switch to the signal from my graphics card.
With primary graphics adapter set to onboard, the graphics card will show signal after booting.
With primary graphics adapter set to pci-e, the graphics card will show signal during booting and then show no signal
So it actually works fine and isn't a huge issue like that, but does anyone know why this would happen?
