New GTX 1050 ti fans spinning, but no display

I bought zotac gtx 1050 ti today. Its the first item in my new build. So i tried to install it in my old PC.but when i try to boot everything is looks normal all the fans are running but no display. Even when i connect directly to motherboard . But once i removed the card its booting and working fine with my old GPU.i am using a hdmi to vga adapter and i have checked the adapter on other system its working fine. PLease help

What adapter ??
You must use an active converter adapter for the 1050ti as the card does not have a native analog signal out

I'm using an active adapter.

old p[c power supply might not be up to snuff and cant power on the gpu. or it a old bios and bios bug.

the power supply is only two year old but its not a branded one and my pc was build on 2009 so bios surely old as i never updated. could that be the problem ?

Very very likely the problem , what board & cpu are you using??
