Question New hard drive all of a sudden having stutters

So about a month ago I got a new 2tb hard drive. It worked great and I had no issues. For some reason I was having some problems with games on my pc so I had to reinstall windows and all that. I fixed the problem but in that process I unplugged my hard drives so that I wouldn't have any problems when reinstalling windows. Fast forward a couple of days and I notice some hiccups at random times. I tracked the performance and found that it was my new hard drive that was working before. It basically goes from little to no usage then shoots up to 100 percent usage then comes back down to what it was before. Does anyone know what is causing this to happen and I am wondering if I didn't plug in something correctly. I'll take any help I can get, thanks.

What HDD is it?

How full is the 2TB drive? You need to keep anywhere between 15-30% of any drive empty.

How full is the 2TB drive? You need to keep anywhere between 15-30% of any drive empty.

Not full at all it still new and there is still 1.43 tb left Its a fire barracuda I believe
