New hard drive and now no signal.

So I bought a custom build and right after the warranty expired the hard drive failed. So I bought a new one and installed it. And now I am getting no signal to the monitor. I tried re-seating the ram and the video card but still..neither the vga or dvi setting gets a signal. All wires and plugs are securely connected. There is no beeping when I start the pc. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

remove the hdd and try

try with another psu if possible

you bought a new hard drive that is blank and plugged it in?

have you tried to install an operating system on it?

no signal? do you mean nothing whatsoever?
