New hard drive causes strange crashes

Hi
I have just installed a new hard drive into my computer (with my old hard drive still in for storage), and I am getting crashes in games and high CPU temperatures.
I can play CSGO in safe mode in 5 minute intervals before the game completely crashes, and occasionally can cause my computer to take leaps with the mouse and audio, meaning that I have to shut down the computer from the button. I have also tried other games, and it comes up with the same result.
I have installed speccy to see what temperatures I get, because initially I thought it would be a problem with the graphics card. But instead of my graphics card overheating, my CPU seems to be getting to about 60 C, which is not normal and with the old hard drive it peaked at about 40 C.
This crash only seems to happen when I launch a game though, because I have had my computer on nearly all day to install programs and updates and I have seen no disruptions.
Could it somehow be interfering with my other hard drive and causing crashes?
Before anyone asks, yes I have updated all of my drivers.
If you need anymore information feel free to ask.
Thanks,
Paddy

My virtual memory is at 8004 MB, is that okay?
I found an error that looks like it may be related to the system crashes:

The description for Event ID 13 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.

If the event originated on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information was included with the event:

\Device\Video7
Graphics Exception: ESR 0x405840=0xa0040800

Thanks

Hi there Paddyward,

So you are running the games on the new drive right?
I would advise you to test both drives with brand specific software and see their overall health status. Another thing you can do is to take out the old drive and see whether the issue persists.
Apart from that, I don't really think that adding another HDD could cause high CPU temperatures. Make sure that while putting the new HDD you didn't block the airflow in some way. Try to open the casing and see whether you will get the same crashes.

Hope this will help,

I have changed to the other hard drive, and it seems to be fine now.
I tried opening the case with the other hard drive but it didn't change anything.
I also tested the health of both the hard drives and S.M.A.R.T says they are fine.
What could be different on the new hard drive to make it crash?
Could the hard drive be faulty?

I have twice that at 16,328 MB of virtual memory on my personal system.

I have attached a webpage that discusses your nvlddmkm error. My guess is that you have a missing or corrupted graphics driver. First, I would uninstall the graphics drivers, and then I would use a utility like DDU to uninstall any remnants of the drivers. Afterwards, I would download the latest working graphics drivers and update them.

The drives shouldn't that different so you con't load games on one of them. Also, the drive shouldn't be faulty as the S.M.A.R.T. report says it is not.
I guess you can try to swap the SATA ports. Either swap them or put the drive that is causing troubles on another one.
Also, consider what terry4536 suggested about the drivers.
