I have a Dell Studio 1735 and my hard drive completely crashed. I tried CHKDSK/F and more than 75% of the sectors were bad and unrepairable. So I installed the exact same hard drive (250GB, 5400 rpm), and loaded all of the software (Vista and IE9). The computer functions normally except that it heats up to the point that it shuts itself off. Does anyone have any ideas why this new drive is getting so hot? Any help/information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On my Dell, the comp is heating up in the front right next to the touchpad. My cable plugs into the right rear and nothing is getting hot there. My cooling fan is working properly (I did the test from the utilities disk), so I'm really at a loss.
