Did you try it on the SATA port that one of your working drives is currently connected to? Are all SATA ports enabled in the BIOS? (I ran across this once).
Yes, I completely swapped the cables around with a working drive, which still worked after switching, and the new drive was still not showing up anywhere
OK, with Windows 7 and previous there was a 2TB limit, so that is not your issue. Looks like a faulty HDD. Let us know when you get a replacement.
it wasn't a windows limitation but a BIOS one. a Legacy BIOS was only able to read HDD up to 2 or 3TB. this is why they have UEFI loaded on every motherbaord now
