New Hard Drive..

I am currently in the process of replacing my hard drive in my HP Pavilion Dv7. The hard drive that came standard was pretty crappy, and I need to make sure my next one will last me longer that 18 months. So I am now debating on getting WD or Seagate and I know I want it to be 1TB. I'm really in need of suggestions for brands and such and some more information on what would be best for the things I do regularly on my computer, i.e. (movies, gaming, music and college). Feel free to ask anymore questions and I would greatly appreciate the feedback. Thanks.

Both Seagate and WD are reputed brands. Both provide 2 year warranties on their HDD's.

WD's Customer Service is a bit better I think.

I've been reading up and the form factor for laptop hard drives like the one that comes standard in my HP Dv7, is 2.5" the maximum height is 9.5mm, the maximum width is 69.85mm, and the maximum length is 100.2mm.
