new harddrive question use internal as external?

Buying a media center with an internal harddrive bay.
I want to purchase an internal harddrive and hook it up to my pc EXTERNALLY transfer the files and then plug it into my new media device. So I want to temporarily hook up an internal hd to a pc externally.
Any suggestions are appreciated!

Search for a usb to sata cable /adapter it should solve your need

I do that here just use old or extra internal hard drives in any way internal or external ? I just grap one I need and hook it up '' loose'' do as I need with it disconnect it and put back on shelve or what ever

don't use the adaptor like said above but could be handy I guess but you still need sata power from the psu for a internal drive I just open my side panel and hook the drive up with the psu/ sata cables I got in it all ready
