I am trying to work my mind around if I should upgrade my computer. I have had this parts now for 3.5 years.
I am not so updated anymore about how good the CPU's etc etc is compared to what I have any more so I am a bit in the dark :s
I like to fraps games and edit a video now and then, edit photos and game a lot.

Any ideas and feedback would be welcome and appreciated.
Should I keep some of the old items?

This is what I have atm:
CPU: Intel Core i7-960
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R
Memory: 3x Corsair Vengance DDR3 1600MHz 4GB CL9 CL 9-9-9-24
GPU: 2x XFX Radeon HD 2690 2GB DDR3 "Dual Fan".

The upgrade I was thinking about is:
CPU: Intel Core i7-3770K 3,5Ghz 8MB
Closed Watercooling: Cooler Master Seidon 120M
Motherboard: MSI Z77A-GD65
Memory: 4x Crucial DDR3 BallistiX 1600Mhz 4GB CL8-8-8-24
GPU: Sapphire Radeon R9 290X 4GB GDDR5

Any ideas and feedback would be welcome and appreciated.
Should I keep some of the old items?

Thanks
Robert

Yes, there is. 3 sticks won't run in dual channel mode.

And ZtriDer, you should wait until the manufacturers released their own coolers for the R9 290X, unless you plan to throw on a water block to put it in a water cooling loop.

I have found the old packing from when I bought the ram and search to see if I can find a single ram if posible.
This is what I found.
I can save about 120 euro doing that.
It should work I guess. Same type of ram with the same CL and Hz.

If I find a single RAM that is identical to the one sin the pack I bought, will there still be a chance of causing problems?
