Not a fan of Seagate or most ssd devices.
Samsung and Intel make their own nand chips and controllers, they can do a better job of validation and quality control.
One can not simply transfer windows to a ssd without also moving any apps that use the registry. (and that will be most of them)
If the new ssd will be large enough to hold the contents of the C drive, the simplest approach is to buy a Samsung ssd of sufficient capacity.
Samsung has a free ssd migration utility that will do the job.

It allows you to exclude large data folders from the move.
