new hdd- blue text?

hi, I just bought a new hard disk and the odd thing about it is the text of files in it are blue.

It's a 160GB Seagate,7200rpm.

How can I change it to black?

click on tools, folder options and in the 3rd section choose double click to open an item. that might be why they look like that. imho its the worst feature to ever be integrated into windows.

Though I think Jihiggs has it nailed, it could also be because you have compression enabled on that drive - when data is compressed the folders & files show up blue for me.

I checked and yes, I did set it to compress files. (It's my first hdd with that capability.) thank you guys
