Hi, I replaced hdd and trying to install W7 from retail version on DVD, it's Lenovo T510.
And I can do this, first I have
C++:
Bootmgr
is missing ...
Then if I go to DVD I have
C++:
A required CD/DVD driver is missing
I was able to use same DVD on other T410 installation np, this given T510 before has valid w7 64 running on old HDD, I don't have anything usb plugged in, all USB on this are USB2 I think.

Surely I'v checked all googles, and none of them worked for my case, I think I need to create boot parition first ?
this is how my hdd looks like, I have only one partition?

C++:
___ list disk
Disk## Status Size Free Dyn Gpt
Disk0  online   119 GB   0 b

___list volume
Volume## Ltr Label Fs Type Size Status
--------  ---  -----       --    ----       ----     ----
volume0    D   GDSPFDXF    UDF   DVD-ROM   2048 Mb   Healthy
volume1    C               NTFS  Partition   119Gb   Healthy

___list partition
Partitions       Type       Size     Offset
---------------------------------------------
Partition 1      Primary    119GB    1024 KB

Oh, that's why. Just create a bootable USB drive, or use the CD. Don't do both. And don't try to install Windows on a USB drive?

I'm confused why a USB drive is involved here.
The boot partition is created when you first format the disk and install Windows, assuming you let Windows create the partitions and do not do it yourself.

What's the actual issue you are getting here?
Is won't boot after an install, or Windows can't see the HDD?

So what I did, boot from DVD< then inserted USB, and started install from USB, then just need to catch a moment to take it out after copying all files, so during service reboot it won't hand on this USB, which is flashing but not booting (it produced just cursor blinking on the top left of lcd).
