Hello,

So I got this new gaming PC better than my old one, but the new PC has Linux or Ubuntu installed on the HDD. Can I switch my old PC HDD which has windows 7 to the new PC as the primary hard drive so I don't have to deal with Ubuntu?

Okay so all I got to do is get a Windows 7 OS CD and install it on this hdd? I'm going for the 64bit.

yup then you just gotta activate it after

Okay good, because this OS is just complicated and unfriendly to me.

Well my buyer told me it didnt have an OS but he installed Linux on it just in case I didn't have a Windows disk around.

OK... What I was commenting on is IF you have a Retail Licensed copy of Win7 on a machine, I have transfered that HDD to a different machine, it booted, I updated the missing hardware drivers, it re-registered and had 0 issues. I was floored that it work. Saved me hours. I did do a complete reinstall later when I switched to an SSD...
